Alright, you might be a bit sick of seeing Parisian looks over here lately, in which case, you can browse around older posts oozing 90s vibes, hot summer days or more extra outfits, but anyone who knows me well can tell you that I like to save best things for last. I never had room for dessert when I was little, might need to rethink how I go about things in life, but that’s another story… I mean that I left the most Parisian of the Parisian looks for the last instalment of these French series as a sort of stellar season finale. If I have succeeded at that or not, only your reactions will tell!
I keep on thinking how amazing fashion can make us feel when we strike the perfect outfit. We leave home and our steps are firmer, our smile is broader and our confidence can be sensed from miles away!
You know what I am talking about, don’t you? That’s how I felt about this look, glamistas, ready to take on the world –although a pair of socks would have helped in the megalomaniac efforts, I am not going to lie!
Minimal outfits seem to attract my attention as of late, so I am always keen on accessorising my looks in order to keep on having fun when dressing up and I am sure you’ve noticed how accessories are the heroes here.
Yes, you might be thinking “yet another red beret outfit on the bloggosphere” while rolling your eyes before the screen, however this one has a nice story behind it as this cute hat belonged to my very cool and fashionable mum when she was younger, and my sister gave it to me as a Christmas present. The red beret had been on my wish list for months, but you can imagine my face when my sister told me it was my mum’s {heart-eyed emojis here}! ♥
The second hero of this outfit is the fabulous red bucket bag and its customized macrame bag with golden handles by Fabrica de Imaginacion. Isn’t it the cutest thing you’ve ever seen? If you have visited Koral’s blog, you have probably noticed how she is always coming up with original forms of creating the things that inspire her in an easy and affordable way that most of us could replicate at home, in theory, if we decided to start any of the 217856451 DIY projects we have accumulated on that Pinterest board over the years… Anyways, she was very much inspired by this Staud bag when crafting this gorgeous macrame version with golden handles which I now get to call mine. Yipeee!
Structured bags have become really popular in the past couple of years and more and more brands are jumping on the bandwagon. Some of my favourites are the Spanish brand Iala Díez or the beautiful bags from IMAGO-A . Admittedly, this kind of bag might not be the most practical accessory ever but they surely tie an outfit together elevating it instantly, and who said fashion had to be practical anyways?
We wrapped up the day with a brisk walk through the Louvre buildings at sunset, just to catch a shy moon smiling at us over the Seine river while the city started to light its streets on a Christmassy night.
Our walk finished at Shakespeare and Co., the famous bookstore by Notre-Dame, where we snapped some more photos and although they turned out quite dark and therefore non post-able, we saw a cute young guy proposing to his girlfriend at the bookshop entrance. One of those scenes you normally see in the movies 🙂 She said yes! ♥
Oh, Paris, you have definitely earned the title of la cité de l’amour, not only are you the most perfect romantic destination, but one can’t help but fall in love with you!
Happy Sunday, lovely creatures
