It happened again, the weekend crept up on me and I didn’t have time to sit down this week and prepare a blog post even though I had quite a bit of material to edit #bloggerproblems, or rather girl-working-a-9-to-5-job-and-blogging-on-the-side-problems 🙂
For the past two weeks, I have been busy trying to get back into the working-cooking-working out-resting routine without much success, so I was very tempted to skip this week’s posting and leave it for next, but you know what? I am trying to be a bit more spontaneous and real with this little virtual space, which is supposed to be a sort of online journal to immortalise badass outfits and current thoughts, so if that means a not so perfect post, coming up a bit later than usual and with a few oddly edited pics… so be it!
On these days, my mind often goes back to our trip to Paris, not only because I am still meeting people who I have not seen over the holidays hence the first conversation of 2018 gravitates towards the classic “how was your Christmas break?” even if both of you think the holidays happened a million years ago, but also because I loved how relaxed and homey this last visit felt and I kinda miss that feeling…
Given that we didn’t spend that many days there and it was not our first time in Paris (although it surely was our first time together), we decided to skip a lot of the uber-touristic spots in favour of getting lost around small streets, thrift shops and design studies –my sister is obsessed with product design and beautiful store fronts, so she guided us through the city at an abnormal speed and ease!
Some of the amazing places we visited were Fleux, Merci or La Trésorerie. Check them out to get some serious interior inspo and cravings!
We walked quite a bit and snapped photos along the way –apparently half of them before red doors–, but I think what we liked most about this trip was being able to feel almost as locals going about their normal life in Paris. We didn’t worry too much about the long list of monuments to visit, famous restaurants to eat at or emblematic spots to shoot in. We decided that if we could fit some of that in, great, but if we couldn’t… it didn’t really matter! We planned our itinerary on the same day, depending on our mood (and the weather) and we made it so we could spend as much time as possible together as a family. It was quite liberating to be honest, as it’s easy to get carried away by the above mentioned bucket lists when you bring your blogger-mind to such an iconic fashion city!
And yes, we might not have been able to see all the architectonic masterpieces of the city or visit all of its amazing museums this time round, but the thing about Paris is that its magic awaits for you in every corner, in every little street you cross, in every croissant you taste, in every cute cafe you sit at…
I like to think that Paris will always be there so if we ever go back, there will surely be plenty of magic left to discover and be amazed by ♥
Happy Sunday, glamistas, hope you enjoyed this post and look. Let me know how the beginning of 2018 is going for you in the comments down below!

20th January 2018 at 6:00 amI feel your pain re blogging. I started off great and on a high note, but then that 9-5 started back up and I’m scrambling to edit photos and find words. I don’t know how other people do this side hustle on a daily basis. How I envy them.
Paris is such a magical town. I think spontaneous and unplanned adventures always leave you feeling more fulfilled than taking those more common sites. You get a better feel and idea of the city and see more than what most people do. Like you said, those hotspots will always be around. Back alleys and side streets are forever changing.

16th January 2018 at 2:27 pmHaha, I totally felt the same way this Monday, but I couldn’t find the time to edit, look for similar items and post in time :/. Anyways, glad you finally got the Paris photos online and they are all really cute! Those carrot trousers seem so comfy and chic at the same time and the burgundy bucket bag compliments them well. Wishing you a great day! xx

15th January 2018 at 6:07 pmLovely photos! Honestly most places in Paris are photogenic so you don’t even have to go to the ultra famous ones. My sister lived there for several years and every time I visited her I’d go back to my favourite famous spots for about a day and then spend the rest of my days wandering. It’s such a great City for that 🙂

Me hizo mucha ilusión! Si alguna vez necesitas algo, ya sabes 😉 Un besito!!
